Donation Refund Policy
How SAIESA handles refund requests for online donations.
1. Donations are generally non-refundable
A donation made to SAIESA through this website is a voluntary contribution, not a payment for goods or services. Once a donation is successfully processed, it is generally non-refundable — this is consistent with our Terms of Service.
2. When a refund will be issued
We will issue a refund only in the following cases:
- Duplicate charge: the same donation was charged more than once due to a payment gateway error (e.g. a network timeout causing the donor's bank to process the same transaction twice).
- Erroneous charge: the amount actually debited from the donor's account does not match the amount confirmed on screen at checkout, due to a verifiable gateway or technical error.
Refunds are not issued for a change of mind, an incorrect donation amount entered by the donor themself, or dissatisfaction with how a contribution is later used.
3. How to request a refund
Contact the committee within 7 days of the transaction at saiesa2025@gmail.com, including the donor name, approximate date and amount, and the payment reference/transaction ID from your receipt or bank/card statement. We will verify the transaction with our payment gateway before approving a refund.
4. Processing time
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method through our payment gateway (Razorpay). Depending on the donor's bank or card network, this can take 5–10 business days to reflect after we initiate it.
